Austin Hill Memorial Fund

A young life was cut drastically short. Austin Tyler Hill died in his sleep at the age of 19. His family and friends – anyone who knew him – are devastated by the unbelievable loss of this dynamic, wonderful young man.

All who grieve this enormous loss find some comfort in the thought that out of such sadness some good must come. Austin loved any activity in the wild; Snowboarding, wakeboarding, hunting, fishing, campfires, camping, caring for acreage north of the city and enjoying two family cottages.

We feel deeply that Austin would love to know that other youth, with less than he had, have the opportunity to enjoy activities that ground, build confidence and self-esteem, and set youth on the right path in life. In memory of Austin, the Hill family holds an annual "Feet in the Forest" Golf Fundraiser, donating all proceeds donated in support of three fantastic organizations that provide life-changing opportunities for deserving youth: The Refuge Youth Outreach Centre, Project Canoe and Outward Bound Canada. These programs help youth to develop life skills, social competency and resiliency to overcome life’s challenges and contribute to their own personal success. Donations to any of these charities are greatly appreciated!
