Other Ways to Donate

Considering other ways to donate? There are many ways to support Project Canoe:

STERN PADDLER MONTHLY GIVING PROGRAM

Make a monthly donation that fits within your budget to support our work year-round. Our stern paddlers forge us on a steady path toward delivering excellent experiences to young people. Knowing how to jay stroke properly is not required. Click below to become a stern paddler!

RUN YOUR OWN FUNDRAISER

Got your own idea for a PC Fundraiser you'd like to run? The sky's the limit! CanadaHelps provides a platform for running fundraisers and directing the proceeds to Project Canoe. Click here for more details and don't hesitate to get in touch with Tim Richardson to discuss your ideas.

DONATION OF SECURITIES

You may wish to consider donating shares of a publicly traded security or mutual fund directly to Project Canoe. If your shares have increased in value, 50% of the capital gain is taxable as income. However, by transferring the shares directly to a charity, the capital gains tax does not apply. LEARN MORE

ENDOWMENT & MEMORIAL FUNDS

Leave a legacy – create an endowment gift for Project Canoe that honours yourself or a loved one. An endowment gift to Project Canoe is a permanent, living memorial that will positively impact communities forever. LEARN MORE

BEQUESTS/GIFTS

Leave a donation to Project Canoe in your will. Leaving a bequest can provide considerable tax relief for your estate. Project Canoe will issue a charitable donation receipt for the value of your gift. This receipt can be used to offset income tax owing by your estate. LEARN MORE

GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE

A Gift of Life Insurance allows you to make a generous gift to Project Canoe, with minimal impact on current savings or income. Donors often struggle between their desire to leave a gift to charity and their need to preserve their estate for their families. A gift of life insurance is a great way to do both. LEARN MORE
