what to bring
WHAT TO BRING ON YOUR CANOE TRIP
Outdoor camping means that there are no shower facilities (except to jump in the lake!). We move from campsite to campsite each day, so the less gear you bring, the better. Make sure to bring clothes and shoes that can get wet and dirty, because they probably will!
CLOTHING
2 hats - one to protect your head from the sun + one warm winter hat
1 bathing suit
2 pairs of long pants (do not bring jeans or you will be cold and wet) INSTEAD, bring one pair rain pants + one pair warm, quick-dry pants
1 pair of shorts
4 pairs of socks (at least two wool pairs)
4 pairs of underwear
1 raincoat (must be waterproof)
1 sweater (synthetic fuzzy or wool, not a sweatshirt)
2 t-shirts and 1 long-sleeved shirt
2 pairs of shoes - one pair for swimming & one good sturdy pair for hiking and portages
OTHER ITEMS
1 warm, compact sleeping bag
toothbrush
insect repellent (not in a spray can)
toothpaste
flashlight (and extra batteries)
sunscreen
1 small towel
soap
tampons and/or pads
OPTIONAL ITEMS
sunglasses
a journal
fishing rod

pen
If you dont have some of these items, YOU CAN STILL COME! Just let us know what you need, and well help you out!
